Witter weight

About 900 grams, which is good. That's what he weighed when he saw Dr. K ten days ago, and I'm glad he hasn't lost any weight. He's still an active, happy little rat, who has started chewing a second shirt of mine...and I've just discovered a small hole in the one I'm wearing now.

Make that three shirts.

Hello there!
I am back! We went to Japan for 2 weeks--it was great.
I hope Witter is still holding up? I read your previous posts.. When my rat grew too old to feed himself, I fed him with a plastic syringe without a needle. Mostly soymilk with babyfood and some rodent vitamins thrown in. It kept him alive for a lot longer than he may have otherwise. He didnt seem to be in pain...he enjoyed being held and generally made a fuss over. He would brux his teeth after being handfed. I didnt worry about quality of life issues, because he seemed happy..also rats obviuosly dont think of these things, which is one of the wonderful things about them. You could if you want, handfeed Witter if he stops eating.
Anyhow, love to Witter, and regards to both of you.
