Bandit's latest picture

Poor guy. We are so mean...

We aren't trying to humiliate him. This is educational, for people who might be considering this surgery, so they know what happens. Really.

In seriousness, you can see that the vet used stainless steel sutures to prevent chewing, and you can see that it is looking nice and clean. Sometimes the area will abscess, but he is on Bactrim to hopefully prevent that, too.

Yeah, well, at least now when Bandit takes a surreptitious nip of your digits, we won't wonder why!

Poor little guy, hope he recovers fast, and gets back to a perky lively little fellow, (less the agression) soon

Ouch!
I think the vet used glue-stitches on Riff - either way, Riff looks a lot worse than that! The bit around his bum is all bruised and black :(

Bandit does look pretty good, for a recently "snipped" rattie. He's just got the cutest little face. I hope he stops nipping soon.

Noggin had internal stitches and skin glue. He's healed up a treat. Stan had some kind of dissolvable stitches.

Kinda back online after my anti-rat roasting - tentatively.....
